Have you ever heard the saying that too much of a good thing is still a good thing? Well, that saying definitely holds true when you buy wine bottles by the case.
You can never have too much of your favorite wine. However, unless you are Bill Gates, you will need to budget your money and try to find the best deal on your favorite wine in order to not break the bank. That’s where bulk purchasing comes into play.
If you have a membership to Sams Club or Costco, you already understand the concept that buying something in a larger quantity will allow you to gain certain savings on that item. The only difference is that instead of driving to the local discount store, you can order wine online and still achieve the savings.
When wine is sold in bulk it is called selling it by the case. Often a case will contain 12 bottles of wine, but make sure to read the fine print to ensure you actually know how many bottles you are really ordering when you buy the case. When purchasing wine by the case, you will often see the retailer sell the case of 12 bottles for the price of either 11 or 10 bottles of the same wine. What a deal!
Not only do you save money on the wine, but you also save ordering time by only having to go online once instead of multiple times for the same bottles of wine. Another big advantage to ordering wine by the case is that you will save on shipping costs as well.
So, what happens if you don’t want 12 bottles of the same wine? Find an online retailer that is willing to sell you a mixed case. A mixed case is still buying in larger quantities, but instead you can have a variety of wines in your case. Select three or four wines that you want to try out and have a couple of each added to your case and rack up the savings.
Whether you buy wine bottles or in your local retailer, purchasing wine by the case can save you money, time, frustration, and effort. Not to mention – you have more wine at your fingertips and are less likely to run out when guests arrive!
